Creating Your Account
To use DocSnap, you'll need to create an account with a valid email address.
Registration Steps
- Open the DocSnap app
- Tap Create Account on the welcome screen
- Enter your email address
- Choose a password (minimum 8 characters)
- Tap Register
After registration, you'll be directed to verify your email address. See Email Verification for details.
Password Requirements
- Minimum 8 characters long
- Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for better security
- Your password is stored using industry-standard bcrypt hashing -- we never store your actual password
What Happens After Registration
- Your account is created in an unverified state
- A verification email is sent to your email address
- You'll see a "Check your email" screen in the app
- Once you verify your email, you're automatically logged in

You cannot access DocSnap features until your email is verified. This is a security measure to ensure that the email address belongs to you.
One Account Per Email
Each email address can only be used for one DocSnap account. If you try to register with an email that's already in use, you'll see an error message.
If you already have an account, tap Log In instead and use your existing credentials. If you've forgotten your password, see Password Reset.
