Face ID & Biometric Login

DocSnap supports Face ID (and Touch ID on older devices) for quick, secure access to the app without entering your password every time.

Setting Up Biometric Login

Biometric login is available after you've logged in successfully with your email and password at least once. The app will prompt you to enable it, or you can enable it from Account settings.

Requirements

  • iPhone or iPad with Face ID or Touch ID
  • Biometric authentication enabled in your device's Settings
  • An active DocSnap session (logged in at least once)

How It Works

  1. When you open DocSnap, it checks for stored credentials
  2. If biometric login is enabled, you'll see a Face ID / Touch ID prompt
  3. Authenticate with your face or fingerprint
  4. You're logged in instantly -- no password entry needed

If biometric authentication fails (e.g., you're wearing a mask), you can always fall back to entering your email and password manually.

Security

  • Your password is stored securely in the iOS Keychain, which is protected by the device's Secure Enclave
  • Biometric data never leaves your device -- Apple handles all biometric verification locally
  • DocSnap never has access to your facial data or fingerprint
  • If you sign out, biometric login is disabled until you log in with your password again
