Viewing Documents
The Documents tab is your central hub for browsing, viewing, and managing all uploaded freight documents.
Document List
When you open the Documents tab, you'll see a list of all your uploaded documents sorted by date (newest first). Each entry shows:
- Title -- the name you gave the document (or "Untitled Document")
- Status badge -- current processing state
- Date received -- when the document was uploaded
Pull to Refresh
Pull down on the document list to refresh and check for newly uploaded or processed documents.
Infinite Scroll
The list loads documents in pages. As you scroll to the bottom, additional documents are loaded automatically. There's no need to tap "Load More."
Document Detail View
Tap any document in the list to open the detail view. This is where you'll find:
Header
- Document title
- Processing status badge (Queued, Processing, Completed, or Failed)
Original Image
For image-based documents (JPEG, PNG), you can view the original uploaded image. Tap the image to open a full-screen viewer with zoom controls.
OCR Results
Once processing completes, the extracted text appears in a monospaced font. You can:
- Select and copy any portion of the text
- Edit the text to correct OCR errors (see Editing OCR Text)
- View the original OCR output alongside your corrections
Metadata
Additional information about the document:
- Document ID
- Received date and time
- Processed date and time
- Content type (JPEG, PNG, PDF)
- Original filename
iPad Layout
On iPad or when your iPhone is in landscape orientation, DocSnap uses a side-by-side layout:
- Left pane -- original document image and metadata
- Right pane -- document header and OCR results
This makes it easy to compare the original document with the extracted text.
Processing Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued | Document uploaded, waiting for processing to begin |
| Processing | OCR engine is actively extracting text |
| Completed | Text extraction finished successfully |
| Failed | Processing encountered an error (see error message for details) |
The app automatically refreshes while a document is in the Queued or Processing state, so you'll see the results appear without manual intervention.
