Getting Started with DocSnap
DocSnap is a document capture and OCR vault built for the freight and logistics industry. Drivers photograph shipping documents -- Bills of Lading, Proofs of Delivery, Freight Bills -- upload them for automatic text extraction, and search the results later.
What You Can Do
- Capture freight documents using your iPhone camera or import files from your device
- Process documents with automatic OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to extract text
- Search across all your extracted text to find any document in seconds
- Share & Export results via email, AirDrop, or as Word and Excel files
- Edit OCR text to correct any extraction errors and keep an accurate record
Quick Start
1. Download the App
DocSnap is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later. Download it from the App Store or contact your fleet administrator for installation instructions.
2. Create Your Account
Open DocSnap and tap Create Account. Enter your email address and choose a password (minimum 8 characters). You'll receive a verification email -- tap the link to confirm your account.
You can verify your email from any device (phone, tablet, or computer). The app will detect the verification automatically.
3. Capture Your First Document
Once logged in, tap the Capture tab at the bottom of the screen. You can:
- Take Photo -- opens your camera to photograph a document
- Choose Photo -- select an existing image from your photo library
- Choose File -- import a document from the Files app (JPEG, PNG, or PDF)
Add an optional title (e.g., "BOL - Load #4521 CHI to DAL") and tap Upload.
4. View OCR Results
Your document will appear in the Documents tab. Processing typically takes a few seconds. Once complete, tap the document to see the extracted text.
5. Search Your Documents
Switch to the Search tab and type any keyword. DocSnap searches across all your extracted text and returns matching documents ranked by relevance.
